"A
human being is a part of a whole, called by us "universe", a part
limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings as
something separated from the rest... a kind of optical delusion of his
consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our
personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task
must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion
to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty." -
Albert Einstein
Do you ever wish that people could see the
world through your eyes, beyond reality?
If they took a peek into your version of the world, would they see beauty
and exquisiteness or would they see desert tones and monotony?
This painting is about seeing the world
through different lenses, not just focusing on what’s here or there but really
examining all aspects of life.
Have you ever been to Venice Beach ? It can be perceived as a bit
frightening. If you see it through the
eyes of an artist it can be fascinating, colorful, and intriguing.
Art, music and books are great for the
purpose of transporting you to a different world. I challenge you to pick a place, maybe an
ordinary park or even just an aged building that you’ve passed by a hundred
times. Do some research and find out
little-known facts about it. Take some photos and give it significance. Don’t just look at it in passing—study it,
write about it, or paint it. You’ll be
pleasantly amazed at how your outlook will start to blossom.
